It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to join us in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Christchurch Dojo. This milestone is a testament to the journey we have shared. I feel truly privileged to have been part of the Dojo’s history for so many years. Over the decades, we have been fortunate to have many exceptional
individuals contribute to the success of our Dojo, many of whom are here with us this anniversary weekend.

I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge those who are no longer with us. You live on in our hearts and minds, forever an integral part of the fabric of our Dojo.

Personally, 2025 marks a significant turning point, as it is my final year as Head Instructor. While there is a touch of sadness, there is overwhelmingly a sense of gratitude and appreciation. To all those who have walked this path with me, many of whom are here over the anniversary weekend, my heartfelt thanks. I am honoured to have friends attending who have shaped not only my career but also my  life. For that, I am forever grateful. Osu!
 

This anniversary weekend, to me, represents a powerful anchor. Let us come together, reflect on the memories we've created, enjoy each other's company, and look forward to the future that lies ahead.
