Sei Shihan Grant Taylor

Sei Shihan Grant started karate in 1974 at the Christchurch Shibu. He graded to shodan in 1985 and Kari Rokudan in 2013.

Sei Shihan Grant has trained at Honbu, New York, as well as Osaka, Japan, Australia and dojos throughout New Zealand.

Sei Shihan has been teaching classes since 1985 and currently takes the Saturday morning 8am Black Belt Class.

Sei Shihan Grant’s teaching style is to encourage fellow karateka to take responsibility for their own learning and to share their knowledge and experience with each other.
